Social Justice Bible Study Session What does the Bible say about issues such as hunger, poverty, racism and social justice? Grayson will come to your parish and conduct a special four night Bible Study Program that is designed to examine such hot button issues from a Biblical perspective.
You can sign Grayson up to come to your parish or convention by contacting Oregon Catholic Press workshops at 1-800-548-8749.
Praise and Thanksgiving Concerts Grayson is available to come to your area and present his special Praise and Thanksgiving Concerts! These events are not like your every-day concerts where the audience sits down and politely claps after each song. Instead they are designed to get everyone up on their feet and sing joyously to the top of their lungs about the greatness and goodness of God! Grayson's concerts are lively and uplifting and are more like songfests where people leave feeling energized, uplifted and ready to proclaim out loud to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord!
You can sign Grayson up to present a special concert at your site by contacting Oregon Catholic Press at 1-800-548-8749.
"Grayson made a presentation to our clergy and pastoral workers at one of our Pastoral Ministry Days. His presentation was excellent and well received by all who attended. I highly recommend Grayson for similar presentations in other dioceses, convinced that it will be enriching for all who will take part in his sessions." Most Rev. Blaise Morand Bishop of Prince Albert Saskatchewan, Canada
Workshop/Conference Topics Include:
What Do You Want, Why Are You Here? In both this keynote address and workshop, participants are challenged to examine just why they are attending their parish liturgies. Participants are asked to explore what their expectations of Sunday liturgy have become, and how those expectations fit in with the gospels. This session is designed to help people investigate what, if anything, they hope will happen in their worship experience, and ask if the liturgy is living up to, or down to, their expectations. It is based on the premise that it is hard to judge how effective a parish liturgy is if you are no longer sure what you're supposed to get from it in the first place.

Can My Church Really Sing? This workshop is designed to address the age-old question: Can Catholic congregations really sing? It shows some practical ways to even get members of the early Mass to sing and rejoice; while at the same time examines some of the most common reasons why some Catholics never even open the hymnal.
This session also helps music ministers come to grips with many of the non-music issues that keep people from making good music. It also shows how congregations can learn to sing with "soul" even if, on the surface, they might not "look like" they can. It demonstrates ways that congregations can learn to sing from the heart and not just from the page.

The Role of the Choir Many choirs suffer under the illusion that their principle role in the liturgy is to sing. This workshop examines the choir's more critical role in liturgy.

Many Spokes, One Center This session is designed to help all of the ministries of the church point in a single direction. It examines reasons why all ministries must have a clear understanding as to just how each ministry is related to the other, since collectively all are related to Christ. It also examines some of the "turf wars" that often undermine the work of the parish and looks at ways to avoid these conflicts. It also tries to make a strong case for ministry days, or special ministerial retreats, in which all of the ministers gather to pray together as well as examine their mission.

Song Leaders This session deals with the question of how people with good voices can become effective song leaders. (It is not automatic.) It examines practical ways that the song leader can tell just when to lead and when to get out of the way of the assembly's song of praise.

Proclaimers of the Word What are some of the techniques one can use to become a truly good proclaimer of the Word of God? How can I tell if I'm reading too fast or too slow? Can I be heard or am I speaking too loudly?

Liturgy and Enculturation
This workshop deals with ways we can tap into the beauty of other cultures to enhance the liturgy without appearing "tokenistic."

Liturgy and Social Justice This session deals with the ultimate questions of overall liturgical effectiveness. The best way one can tell if the Sunday liturgy is fulfilling its goal is to examine the way the assembly treats one another after the last hymn is sung and everyone has left the building.
This workshop draws a direct connection between the congregation's day-to-day response to issues of hunger, racism, and other social concerns found in the gospel, and the experience of Church that happens from week to week.
